QUEUEING SYSTEMS. THEORY AND APPLICATIONS

Abstract

The monograph presents the basic principles and methods of analysing queuing systems. The necessity of using queuing theory for analysing probabilistic processes in computer systems is proven. The mathematical apparatus and basic methods used in the theory of queuing are presented. The calculations are brought to the calculation formulas. The material is accompanied by a significant number of real examples. The theoretical principles and practical recommendations presented in the monograph can be used by students, postgraduates, scientists, practitioners and other interested persons working in the field of information technology applications.

У монографії викладено базові положення та методи аналізу систем масового обслуговування. Доведена необхідність використання теорії черг для аналізу ймовірнісних процесів у комп’ютерних системах.
